Okay, I've been looking at a lot of good art and tutorials for...uh...ever... I've noticed something. In most cases, when you have an excellent artist, they don't exactly have thorough tutorials. When you have a....well...not a bad artist, but an emerging artist, they post these tutorials that are SOOOO complete and thought out... I mean, it may be because I never really look around for any tutorial... It's just when I see good work, I would try and look for a tutorial. If I find one, it usually doesn't turn out the way I expect. I mean, those tutorials almost always help me out ALOT...and I mean ALOT, but then it leaves me feeling...empty... Now, I don't look for tutorials as often as I used to, since I got used to my personal style... But there are times when I feel as if I need to get another artist's opinion. Now, the "complete" tutorials are, according to my personal experience, mostly done by emerging artists. I would way a lot of the best tutorials, again in my opinion, are done by proficient artists. While the emerging artists know what they're talking about, and usually give good advice (trust me on that, alot of their tips are excellent revelations)they still leave me with that empty feeling. The advanced artists (I say advanced because I personally don't believe in bad artists) can also give good points, but sometimes their tutorials can be hard to follow, even when you read them over and over again. Anyway, I don't mean to sound like an overly critical person... These are just my thoughts... Despite these things I think, every tutorial I have visited and followed has aided in my growth as an artist. I'm glad for that. Well, goodeh nite everehboody (even though it's 11 45 in the morning...lol)
